Prime Capital AG: New Supervisory Board Member Dr Horst Goss

October 15, 2020

Frankfurt, 15th October 2020

The independent asset manager and financial services provider Prime Capital AG has appointed Dr Horst Goss to the Supervisory Board.

Dr Goss (57) is Board Member of BTV group and was previously Co-Managing Director and CIO of the globally active family office in Munich for more than 20 years. He was responsible for the entire asset allocation, investment strategies and manager selection, as well as for global investments in liquid and alternative assets. Previously, Dr Goss was Head of Department in the Corporate Banking Business of HypoVereinsbank as well as consultant for McKinsey & Co in Frankfurt and Warsaw, with focus on banks and insurance companies. He holds a degree in business informatics and PhD (rer. pol.) in financial economics. Dr Goss is also very active in the non-profit sector, inter alia as Co-Founder of the social venture capital provider BonVenture as well as Member of the Board of Trustees of the Max Planck Foundation.

„We are looking forward to working with Dr Goss. With 20 years of investment experience in liquid and – above all – alternative investments, he belongs to the most renowned practitioners in Germany. Dr Goss has analyzed, reviewed and selected a large number of asset managers and has gained a very successful reputation with his team in Germany. He has brought the concept of endowment investing to Germany and successfully implemented it. We are convinced that he will be an important sparring partner for our activities in our absolute return sector as well as in different private market asset classes. We will benefit from his experience and his knowledge”, says Wolfgang Stolz, Chairman of Prime Capital’s Supervisory Board.

Dr Horst Goss replaces Axel Pfeil (67) as of October 2020, who belonged to Prime Capital’s Supervisory Board since 2009. Previously, Pfeil was divisional director at Deutsche Bank AG as well as CEO of DB Investor. For a number of years, he has been independent entrepreneur and investor. „With Axel Pfeil, we had an important partner for our corporate structure in our ranks. We would like to thank him for his loyalty and his valuable contribution to the development of the success story of our company over the past 11 years”, adds Wolfgang Stolz.

With the appointment of Dr Goss, the changes of Prime Capital’s Supervisory Board have been completed. „In recent months, we have worked hard to change the composition of our Supervisory Board with new experienced and complementary members. With Wolfgang Stolz as our former CEO, Dr Michael Drill with his extensive experience in strategic thinking as well as Dr Horst Goss as an investment expert, we have now found an ideal combination. The Management team and I are looking forward to working together for years to come”, says Andreas Kalusche, CEO of Prime Capital.
